The most common mistake teams make is reading low CTR as low effectiveness. Display impressions deliver brand lift even without clicks and routinely assist conversions on search and direct — looking at last-click only badly understates the channel. Multi-touch attribution tells a much fairer story.
Two themes dominate the conversation now: viewability and brand safety. Counting raw impressions is not enough — buyers expect to know whether the ad actually appeared on screen for long enough and whether the surrounding content was a safe place for the brand.
