Google Search Console (GSC)

Also known asGSC서치 콘솔

In one line

Google Search Console (GSC) is Google's free tool for monitoring how a site performs in Search — impressions, clicks, indexing status and technical issues.

Going deeper

Google Search Console is the baseline SEO tool. The Performance report tells you which queries earn impressions and clicks, while the Page indexing report shows indexation status and the errors blocking pages from being indexed.

The URL Inspection tool is especially valuable. For any single URL, you can check indexing status, mobile usability and structured data parsing in one place — usually the first thing to open when triaging a page-level issue.

A common beginner trap is fixating on 'average position'. It is a derived metric tangled with query volume and SERP features, so it only becomes useful when read alongside impressions, clicks and CTR.
