AI Content Detection covers the techniques that try to estimate whether a text was produced by an AI. Detectors return probability scores based on statistical fingerprints, vocabulary distribution and style patterns. Accuracy is well short of perfect, and different tools routinely disagree on the same text.
Two reasons it is worth keeping on the marketer's radar. One, some search engines and platforms are reportedly weighing the share of AI-generated content as a quality signal. Two, internal or external reviewers will sometimes show up holding a detector. 'AI-assisted but human-edited content' is a different thing from AI slop, and you need to be ready to make that case.
The pragmatic operating mode is to not chase detector scores. Focus on the underlying content qualities — factual specificity, self-contained passages, cited evidence — that hold up regardless of authorship. Well-edited AI-assisted content tends to score erratically in detectors but performs steadily on citation metrics, which is the signal that matters.
