Branded keywords are every query that includes your name — 'Villion', 'Villion pricing', 'Villion review'. The big differences from non-branded terms are intent and conversion. People searching for you by name already know who you are, so CTR and conversion rates sit on a different curve entirely.
Branded search volume is often used as an outcome metric for demand generation. When content, PR and paid campaigns are working, branded queries rise on a lag — that makes branded-keyword volume a useful health signal for marketing as a whole, not just an SEO line item.
Watch for competitors bidding on your brand terms in paid search. It happens routinely, including in Korea, so most teams put a defensive paid-search line behind their branded SEO rather than trusting organic alone to hold the SERP.
