Content Cluster / Pillar Page

Also known as토픽 클러스터Topic ClusterPillar-Cluster Model

In one line

A content cluster is a structure where a pillar page covers a broad topic and supporting cluster posts answer its sub-questions, all tied together with internal links.

Going deeper

The content cluster — or pillar-cluster model — was popularised by HubSpot. One pillar page covers a topic broadly, and 10–30 cluster posts go deep on individual sub-questions.

The structural advantage is efficient topical authority. Instead of piling up overlapping posts, you have intent-separated pages orbiting a pillar, which lets search engines start treating the domain as a topic specialist.

It plays especially well in GEO. When the pillar answers the category question (e.g., 'What is GEO?') and clusters answer specific ones ('How to get cited in Perplexity'), AI tends to surface the same domain across the user's follow-up prompts.
