Cornerstone Content

Also known as코너스톤기둥 콘텐츠

In one line

Cornerstone content is the small set of pages your site relies on most for traffic, conversions and citations — the load-bearing columns of the content house.

Going deeper

Cornerstone content is a term Yoast popularised: the 5 to 10 pages your site depends on more than any others. Usually it covers the main category pages, the bestsellers and the flagship guide content. Newer posts should consistently funnel internal links into these cornerstones.

It overlaps with the pillar-page idea but the framing is different. A pillar is the hub of a specific topic cluster; a cornerstone is a site-wide priority marker. A single page can be both, and in practice that is exactly how teams treat it.

The whole discipline is in the maintenance loop, not the launch. When stats, screenshots, regulations or tool names change, cornerstones are the first pages you update — their freshness sets the perceived E-E-A-T of the entire site.
