Q&A Format Content
In one line
Q&A format content puts the user's likely question in the heading and lands the answer immediately below — one of the cleanest patterns for AI answer engines to lift.
Going deeper
Q&A format means the H2/H3 is the question itself, with one or two sentences answering it directly underneath. AI answer engines already map content at the question level, so a page where headings and answers are paired up is very easy for them to cite.
A practical move is to source the actual headings from real user prompts. Pull category questions from ChatGPT and Perplexity and reuse the phrasing verbatim — that lines your headings up exactly with the wording the AI is already generating.
Not every page needs to be Q&A. Concept pages, brand stories and serial content read better in other shapes. Treat Q&A as the default pattern for pages whose job is to answer a precise fact or definition quickly.
