Arc Search

Also known asArcBrowser Company

In one line

Arc Search is the AI-powered search experience from The Browser Company — its 'Browse for Me' feature compiles a single answer from multiple pages instead of returning a list.

Going deeper

Arc Search is The Browser Company's mobile-first AI search app, launched in January 2024. The defining feature is 'Browse for Me' — the app actually opens multiple pages, reads them, and renders a single-screen answer. It was effectively an answer engine built into a mobile browser.

Important context: in May 2025 The Browser Company said it was halting active development on Arc to focus on a new AI browser called Dia, and Atlassian acquired The Browser Company in September 2025. As of April 2026, Arc Search is essentially in maintenance mode, and GEO monitoring attention is shifting toward Dia and other answer engines.

The pattern Arc validated is still useful. Surfaces that physically read each page reflect your structure and above-the-fold copy directly in their answers. A clear definition and differentiator at the top of the page pays off more on read-and-summarise surfaces than on classic SERP surfaces.
